Ottawa Musicians Lead Benefit Concert to Support At-Risk Youth

Ottawa, ON – May 31, 2025—Singer-songwriters and dedicated mental health and addiction advocates Jake DeMarsh & Elizabeth Royall are set to host an unforgettable evening of live music at Ottawa’s Club SAW on May 31st, 2025. This event will bring the community together to raise funds and awareness for at-risk youth, with 100% of proceeds going to the Ottawa Youth Service Bureau (YSB).
Audiences can look forward to a night of intimate performances and touching stories from Jake Demarsh, Elizabeth Royall, and special guest Pat Rees. The evening will also feature a guest speaker from YSB, offering opportunities to learn more about their vital work and ways to contribute to the cause.

Jake Demarsh—From heroin addiction to championing the underdog. Jake DeMarsh has a story to tell. After getting clean in 2019, he's the epitome of a reverse rockstar, out to make a name for himself. Incorporating different styles into his sound using hints of blues, jazz, rock and pop to cultivate a contemporary style that's truly his own. Taking influence from bands like The Glorious Sons, Kings of Leon, Lenny Kravitz.
After the release of his debut single titled Still Hope he was nominated for Newcomer of the Year at the Ottawa Capital Music Awards in 2023. This song was then featured on CBC/IRC Quebec leading up to the Awards show highlighting Jake's work as a mental health and addiction advocate. Using his online presence to share his message through his music, he continues to be featured on festival bills moving forward.
Elizabeth Royall—Elizabeth Royall is an indie/alt-rock singer-songwriter based in Ottawa, Ontario. Her influences include Fleetwood Mac, The Cranberries, and Mazzy Star. In 2019, she was a performer at la Maison de la Culture in a lineup including french artists
