The Desert Island Big Band is a project led by Ottawa-born Stefan Jurewicz, a music producer and audio engineer. What began as a lesson in vulnerability turned into a way to push personal boundaries. Combining influences such as The Kills, David Bowie, St Vincent, Kurt Vile, and many more, the Desert Island Big Band drifts between styles and genres as regularly as the ebb and flow of the tide.
