AnjChito is a quartet composed of Angie Barkhouse on Vocals & Saxophone, Chito Salazar on Guitar, Ricky Lyan Kyang on Bass and Rafael de los Reyes on Drums/Percussion. AnjChito's compositions are described as an eclectic fusion of jazz, rhythm & blues, bossa nova, blues and funk music which provides an invigorating musical experience captivating the audience with its dynamic grooves, rich harmonies and vibrant rhythms. Aside from our own music compositions, AnjChito also, do covers of music by Sade, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Alanis Morissette, Simply Red, Steely Dan, Meghan Trainor, Hall and Oates, Tedeschi Trucks Band, George Michael, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye to name a few. AnjChito also just released their second album "Tones of Colour" last September 15, 2024. Recently, “Smooth Samba” one of the songs from the AnjChito debut album "Eclectic", has been included in the City of Ottawa's "City Sounds Playlist 2024". City Sounds is an annual streamable playlist featuring Ottawa local musicians.
Accolades
We sold out our Eclectic Album Release Concert at the NAC Fourth Stage. We also had a successful Vinyly Release Party for our Tones of Colour Album at the Hummingbird Hall in Nepean. We have been playing regularly in different Ottawa Music venues for the last 3 years.

IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO
We provide gender-neutral washrooms. We have one wheelchair accessible washroom. There is no wheelchair ramp. There is a set of 8 stairs to get into the building (7 steps, small landing, and then an 8th step). Once inside, the whole cafe floor is flat, with the exception of our small room to the side, which is a small step down.
