Canadian musician and instrument maker, Teilhard (tay-YAR) Frost specialises in traditional folk music with a focus on Appalachian old time music.

He has spent the last twenty years touring with the sensational rag-time outfit Sheesham, Lotus, and ‘Son. Teilhard teamed up with Jason Mercer to record The Os project, a banjo & Saxophone based dance album. Frost & Mercer are also touring a new show, MojoBanjo, which is a loose musical history of the banjo. In 2020-24 Teilhard recorded and toured The Complete Recordings of Hezekiah Proctor with L'il Andy, Sam Allison and Brian Sanderson. Teilhard has also recorded and toured with Michael Duguay, Jenny Whiteley, Joey Wright, Chris Coole, and Michael Jerome Browne and done studio session work on over 75 albums and film scores. In the spring of 2024 he released his latest album Four and Twenty Blackbirds Dancing on a Deerskin, which includes players Tom Power, Scott Prouty, Chris Coole, and Jason Mercer.
