Joe McLeod is a Canadian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose work is defined by emotional clarity, patience, and craft. His songs move easily between intimate reflection and open-hearted, melodic moments — ranging from quiet, personal writing to anthemic, feel-good songs that invite connection. Rooted in folk and indie-leaning pop, his music balances warmth and vulnerability, offering space for both introspection and shared joy. McLeod has built his career through consistent touring and long-form storytelling, performing across Canada, the United States, Japan, and Europe, and appearing on stages ranging from small community rooms to iconic venues like Toronto’s TD Music Hall at Massey Hall. His approach prioritizes connection over spectacle, featuring performances that move comfortably between intimate solo settings and full-band shows. These performances are known for their warmth, honesty, and conversational feel, naturally opening into shared moments and sing-alongs. Now working between Canada, Europe, and the United States, McLeod continues to release music and tour, focusing on longevity, community, and meaningful audience relationships. His work resonates with listeners drawn to sincerity, melody, and depth — music made to be lived with rather than rushed past.
The Public Service Duo: Seven years ago, The Public Service was a "one-night-only" experiment to cap off a song-a-week project. Today, the Dartmouth-based band is a fixture of Eastern Canada’s indie music scene. TPS has carved out their own sound: blending indie-folk intimacy and driving, ethereal rock. Their discography, including the debut LP Songs For The Living (2022) and Live From The Stage at St. Andrew’s (2025), showcases a penchant for delicate lyricism backed by folk-rock, verging on cinematic soundscapes. The true TPS experience, however, is found in their shimmering live show. This reputation for high-energy, emotive performances has landed them on Canada’s most prestigious stages, from Toronto’s TD Music Hall to the National Arts Centre and the Stan Rogers Folk Festival. When the conditions are right, frontsingers George Woodhouse and Joss MacNeil, give their band a night off and assemble as the compact acoustic Megazord of humour and harmony referred to as The Public Service Duo. Coming off a busy summer of 2026 East Coast festivals, The Public Service will be releasing their second full-length studio album later this fall which was recorded with friend, neighbour and Juno award winning producer, Alex Meade.
