James is an Ottawa singersongwriter who mixes folk, rock, country, and blues into emotional and powerful stories. Whether it be relationships, addictions, inner demons, or depression, his gravely voice cuts a deep feeling of hope and determination, while resonating relatability and realism.

James recorded 38 songs from 2020-2023 with producer, Phillip Bova. Some include harmonicist Mickey Raphael (Nelson/Stapleton/Dylan), guitarist/mandolinist Kevin Breit (Norah Jones), drummer Ed Toth (Doobie Bros.) and Juno nominated pianist/guitarist John Fraser Findlay.

James started releasing singles monthly in August 2023 which created 2024’s album Come On In, 2025's Self Deconstruction, and currently forming June 2026’s The Deal.
