at LIVE! on Elgin
Featuring Touch Grass, Loch Nisse Monster, & valley girls
The Indie Folk Nite Series is back for a spooky spin this fall season at LIVE! on Elgin. Don't miss out on your current or soon-to-be favourite indie and folk acts playing a vibrant acoustic set. And remember what time of year it is... Dress code: Costumes recommended.
Hailing from Ottawa, Canada, "Touch Grass" is not just a sardonic phrase for the chronically online. It's a loving invitation to run your hands through the tender blades and find the joy all around you!
At a Touch Grass show, Adam, Cam, Flynn, and Brad will envelop you with gorgeous grooves, luscious licks, and insightful lyricism, leaving you feeling a little more down to earth than before.
This more stripped down yet equally compelling set will feature Adam and Flynn.

Loch Nisse Monster originated from the swamps of an Ottawa 70's-themed house party, where in a drunken haze the singer-songwriter was told that her name sounded like the famous monster of Loch Ness. Nisse brings the folky vibe of this mysterious fantastical creature to her songwriting, telling stories and painting joyous and painful emotions. Along with musical inspiration from the genres of rock, pop, and punk, the "monster" in Loch Nisse Monster doesn't hesitate to get at ironic and unjust truths in the world around, yet with the hope of tales.

Folk-pop sweethearts Paige and Abigail comprise the two piece acoustic duo known as Valley Girls. They use their sweet, soaring harmonies to bring you emotionally gripping songs about yearning, self-respect and sometimes revenge.
