ᛉ Northern black metal wolves from the forests of Canada. Aaveiv raises a chalice to the black metal and death metal gods of old (and select few new) from all corners of the underground, while melting all into its own songwriting identity and bypassing cheap retro worship in the process. They originated during the endless nights under the northern moon during the winter of '20. Aave means phantom or specter in the Finnish language, IV is the roman numeral for four. Three encounters that would roughly be described as dark spiritual encounters have occurred in the creator of this work's life, so the significance of the IV is an allusion to the fourth time a spiritual visit will occur… Black essence spills out in a hidden fog. Their first morbid offering "Visitation of the Blessed Dead" is out now via Black Vomit on Cd and True Order of the Flaming Black Circle on cassette.
