Blues/soul singer and guitarist Shane Murphy has been a stellar member of Montréal's blues scene since 1996, performing the club circuit and serving as opening act for such renowned artists as Our Lady Peace or Mike Doughty. His soulful blues has graced many Canadian stages, namely the 2010 Winter Olympics and the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. In 2009, Murphy was awarded the prestigious title of Best New Artist at the Lys Blues, Quebec's blues music awards. His 2009 debut album, Street Money Miracles, features a mix of reggae, blues, soul, roots and funk. He followed in 2012 with The Good Years (Dirty Works), and camp back to the Festival in 2016 with the EP Staying in the Saddle for Rosie.
