At the NAC, we’re sharing the Christmas spirit with the entire city! This season, the well-loved fiddle playing MacMaster Leahy family is bringing light and happiness to families and fans across the country.

Natalie married Donnell Leahy in 2002, who came to prominence as the lead fiddle player for The Leahy Family. Together the pair have released two albums together. The first, One, was released in 2015, and was produced by legendary producer Bob Ezrin. The pair released a traditional Christmas album, A Celtic Family Christmas, the year after. Natalie and Donnell have toured the world together and even feature their seven music-loving children in their performances!

Hearing Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy speak reverentially about the fiddle, which has propelled their dazzling careers since childhood while cementing their status as Canada’s reigning couple of Celtic music, is almost as electrifying as hearing them play it.
