Hailing from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, The New Hires are a dynamic indie rock band that formed amidst the challenges of the pandemic. Founded from the depths of Kijiji, this spirited group has quickly risen to prominence in the Ottawa music scene, captivating audiences with their catchy hooks and energetic performances.
The start of 2022 saw The New Hires stepping onto the music scene with the release of their debut single, “Save First & Foremost” produced by Cory Bergeron (Locket). As of March 2024, the 5-piece has sold-out some of Ottawa’s most respected venues, opened for Juno award-winning Dear Rouge and JJ Wilde and garnered recognition as one of the top 100 finalists in the CBC Searchlight Annual Talent Search.
Dressed for success in dapper outfits, The New Hires are a musical force to be reckoned with. As they continue to evolve and expand their artistic vision, The New Hires' journey promises to be an exhilarating ride that’s sure to leave an impression.

Nick Stone and the Gems
Nick Stone is an indie rock artist with a soulful twist, blending folk and indie rock with a hint of Western charm. Backing Nick are The Gems, a group made up of his dear friend and often co-writer Colton Legree on keys, John Andrew and Tanner Reid harmonizing on electric guitars, Thomas Riedl on drums, and Nate Fromson on bass.
Inspired by rock and roll legends, classic country and folk artists, and the sweet harmonies of '50s and '60s doo-wop, their music transcends genres and resonates deeply with listeners. Born out of a desire to create something unique and captivating, Nick's heartfelt melodies and emotive storytelling aim to leave a lasting impact on the hearts of those who embark on his soul-stirring musical journey.
