The Hagstrom-Schmidt Affair album release! Libby Hortop (autoharp, voice), Cal Tranner (12-string, voice) He plays a Hagstrom 12-string. She plays an Oscar Schmidt autoharp. The Hagstrom-Schmidt Affair is a new album that celebrates the sound of these two instruments, as well as Libby & Cal's vocal harmonies. Twelve original songs run the emotional gamut. Libby & Cal have previously released two albums: Our Lady of Perpetual Hammer (2021) and If You've Given Up on Love Then Let's Call it Something Else (2022). The Hagstrom-Schmidt Affair was recorded at Stove Studios in Chelsea with James Stephens, who has worked with many talented musicians, such as Lynn Miles, Ian Tamblyn, and Kate Weekes. Libby & Cal are joined on this album by Rob Snasdell-Taylor on bass, James Clugston on drums, and Glenna Hunter on cello.
