Camp Saint Helene, formed by Elizabeth Celeste Ibarra, Dylan Nowik, Wesley Harper, and Alex Wernquest, approaches their art as a sacred ritual, drawing inspiration from a former Christian summer camp turned arts colony in New York’s mountains. Their music blends hope and doom, exploring themes like grief, love, revolution, and human connection. Their latest album, Of Earth and its Timely Delights, reflects on earthly and cosmic time with an experimental, collaborative sound.
Their debut song, “Farfisa Song,” was KEXP’s Song of the Day and featured in I Know What You Did Last Summer (2022) and SLIP (2023). Their debut album Mother was named New and Notable by Bandcamp, praised for its "70s U.K. occult-folk sound." In 2023, they performed at Upstate Art Weekend with the installation Into the Garden, following a commission by NADA x Foreland. Their work has earned them critical acclaim for blending pastoral folk with experimental, ritualistic elements.
