VANCAMP, emmersonHALL & Gamekeeper - "Diner Coffee" Tour
at LIVE! on Elgin
VANCAMP:
Indie grit, acoustic charm and mindful lyricism. VANCAMP is the musical alias of singer-songwriter Calvin Bakelaar, based in Peterborough, Ontario. His debut album, “Diner Coffee” will be released on Friday, September 20th, and uniquely blends modern folk and country music. The album delves into the challenges of growing up in a small town and builds on the sound introduced in “Camper Van.” VANCAMP has had the honour of supporting artists like Mariel Buckley, Beau Dixon, Field Guide, and Texas King, and he was recognized with the 2024 Peterborough Folk Festival Emerging Artist Award.
emmersonHALL:
With a sound tucked somewhere between indie rock and alt-country, emmersonHALL exists because Cole Hallman was raised on western music and came of age on the internet.
Gamekeeper:
A singer-songwriter from Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. Warren Frank is Gamekeeper. Best known for his time as the lead singer in indie outfits The Kents and Heaps, heard across Canada on national radio. As Gamekeeper, Frank’s voice and lyricism take centre stage as he explores a new chapter in songwriting, starting with his debut single, “Run”. An upbeat indie-folk tune, centering around the apprehension that can build in relationships, romantic or otherwise, when we aren't keenly aware of our own fears.
