‘Psychedelic Sundaes’ was formed in 2017 as an Ottawa-based band that focused on playing songs primarily from the classic psychedelic era from around 1967 to 1970. Bands such as the Beatles, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Jefferson Airplane and the Jimi Hendrix Experience (among others) were faithfully represented. The band rehearsed for two whole years then did a total of 2 sold-out gigs and then Covid hit.

When Covid began to wane the band got together and began writing original music with the same psychedelic aesthetic. The lineup consists of Doug Gouthro on guitar and vocals, Kenny Kanwisher on keyboards, guitar, cello, accordion and vocals, Ian Halman on bass and vocals and Geoff Ward on drums and vocals. Individual members have decades of playing experience and have played with a diverse range of artists and bands such as the John Henrys, Charlie Major and Sneezy Waters to name but a few.
