Get ready for a musical journey that transcends time and space, as the legendary band RUSH comes alive like never before in the Taproom at Overflow on December 2nd, 2024, returning again from their epic March show. Don't miss out on this opportunity to witness the magic of RUSH recreated by a powerhouse of Canadian superstar talents known as Permanent Waves.
Leading the charge is the phenomenal drummer, Dave Langguth, whose illustrious career spans the globe, sharing the stage with Grammy-winning artists like Nelly Furtado and Canadian icon Kim Mitchell. From The Tonight Show to Saturday Night Live, Langguth's drumming prowess has graced the world's biggest stages. As an educator, he's showcased his skills at renowned festivals, leaving an indelible mark on the drumming world.
Guitar aficionado Eric Robbs brings his touring experience and recording credits to the mix, having opened for names like Digable Planets and Sean Kingston. Currently based in Toronto, Robbs continues to make waves with his original music and collaborations with a diverse array of artists.
And then there's the heart and soul of the RUSH tribute, the incomparable Andy Narsingh. Introduced to music through his father's guitar, Narsingh found his true calling with the bass guitar, inspired by the iconic sounds of Geddy Lee, Stu Hamm, and Billy Sheehan. His progressive rock/funk style, molded over years of musical exploration, promises to capture the essence of RUSH like never before.
Narsingh's journey in the music industry has been nothing short of epic. From forming the progressive rock trio ARSIN in 1998 to taking a hiatus and immersing himself in film school, Andy's story is one of resilience and passion. After seven years away from the stage, the magnetic pull of the bass guitar brought him back, and he hasn't looked back since.
In the lead-up to this extraordinary night, Andy has kept his chops razor-sharp by jamming with Toronto's most respected musicians. Armed with FBass Custom Handmade Basses, Fender Jazz Basses, Taurus 3 pedals, and TC Electronic Bass Systems, Narsingh is set to channel the spirit of RUSH in a way that pays homage to the past while pushing the boundaries of the present.
Overflow's Taproom will be transformed into a sonic playground where every note, every beat, and every lyric will resonate with the spirit of RUSH. This tribute promises not just a concert but an immersive experience that transports you through the evolution of one of the greatest bands in rock history.
Mark your calendars, RUSH enthusiasts! On December 2nd, 2024, the stage is set, the instruments are tuned, and RUSH lives again in the hands of Permanent Waves. Don't miss this chance to witness a recreation so authentic
