Holly Clausius is a queer Toronto artist with a timeless, unique sound, mixing genres like pop, soul, folk and rock. Clausius’ vocals have been described as “as smooth as a cup of chamomile tea and as sharp as a sewing needle” (Blast Magazine, 2020) As a lyricist, her distinct point of view and witty nature creates a safe space for authenticity.
From performing with her full band at iconic venues like The El Mocambo, Horseshoe Tavern and TIFF Slaight stage to producing monthly queer variety shows - her ability to uplift 2SLGBTQIA+ artists and create community is unmatched. In 2021, her award winning single “Big Plans” was praised by Deborah Cox, Priyanka, Tegan and Sara. More recently, Clausius’ track ‘Yellow Dress’ was highlighted on season 2 of Netflix original show ‘Ginny and Georgia’.
Freshly off her Cross Canada Wildflowers Tour, performing to sold out audiences in Kingston, Ottawa, London, Montreal, and Vancouver between March-May of 2023.
Her latest single and crowd favourite, ‘Apple of My Eye’ was released in June 2023, giving us a taste of what her upcoming album will bring. With an ever-changing sound and dedication to musical experimentation, her next project will be hook laden, euphoric, and heavily influenced by 70’s glam rock.
